The Role of Defensible Space in Crime and Gentrification in Los Angeles
Gentrification was measured for 14
different tracts in Downtown Los Angeles using a Principal Component Analysis (PCA) that used census indicators. Maps created through ArcGIS Pro showed the spatial relationship between the distribution of crime and of gentrified and non-gentrified neighborhoods.
